Pharmacists, Dietitians and Nutritionists

Pharmacy managers, hospital and retail pharmacists and druggists prepare and dispense medicines that doctors have prescribed, explain how to use medications, and maintain records of customers' medications. Industrial pharmacists participate in the research, development, testing, and manufacture of medicines and other pharmaceutical products. Dietitians and nutritionists plan, conduct, and supervise diet food service programs and provide nutrition counselling services.


  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree in nutrition, dietetics or a closely related field, supervised training and registration with a regulatory body in a southern jurisdiction.
  • Pharmacists require supervised training and an NWT license.
