Sales, Marketing and Advertising Managers

Managers in these occupations have a leadership role. They interview, hire and train employees, oversee the operations of sales and marketing teams, and try to achieve sales targets for their departments. Sales managers plan and direct the activities of sales departments. Marketing managers establish distribution networks for products and services, initiate market research studies and analyze their findings, assist in product development and direct the marketing strategies of establishments. Advertising managers plan and direct the activities of firms and departments that develop and implement advertising campaigns.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Sales and marketing managers require a university degree or college diploma in business administration or in a related field with a specialization in sales or marketing.
  • Advertising and public relations managers require a university degree or college diploma in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or in a related field.
